These training days will provide the instruction for Climbing, Low COPE Course, Rappelling and Zipline at Adventure Point. Offered fully outdoors, and practicing safety standards for COVID-19, registrants will work in small groups and rotate around our campus to the instruction areas as follows:

Saturday 9/26/20 9 am – 4 pm

These trainings will be provided using the SAFE outdoor guidelines, including safe social distancing, wearing masks (provided or bring your own) when needed, and proper cleaning of all equipment. All gear provided by AP for this training will be assigned to you for the entire day, and will not be shared among participants.
Attend all sessions and pass our cognitive and practical exams to receive a full BSA COPE Level II Certification – valid at any BSA facility. Individual program certifications will be awarded to participants who attend a specific session. (i.e. Adventure Point Zipline Facilitator).
You may attend one or both Saturday sessions – cards will be signed both weeks for the sections covered that day.
No experience is necessary!
Lunch from Jimmy John’s is included.
This training is as fun as it is informational; just make sure to wear weather appropriate and active clothing, a water bottle, and shoes for climbing, if applicable. (Any sort of athletic shoe will work.)
*Note: all gear will be provided, but you may bring your own climbing harness and helmet if it has been purchased within the last 5 years. This will be verified by Course Director, Hannah Meixner, at the beginning of the training. Contact Hannah here with any questions prior to arrival on September 19th.
Training is limited to first 30 registrants.
